Ho Chi Minh City Urban Adventures

Day tours, with a local

Ho Chi Minh City Urban Adventures will not only take you amongst the sights, sounds and smells of Ho Chi Minh City, but will also show you the daily life of the nearby Mekong delta areas on uniquely designed Ho Chi Minh City tours.

Ho Chi Minh City is the largest city in Vietnam with a population of about eight million people. The hustle and bustle of people rushing about their daily business gives the city a vital and dynamic atmosphere. Ho Chi Minh City is characterised by a vast variety of sights and sounds, from ancient pagodas, mosques and cathedrals to the former Presidential Palace and the War Museum, and from historical Dong Khoi Street (the Rue Catinat from Graham Greene's novel 'The Quiet American') to the busy markets of Ben Thanh and Cholon (Chinatown).

Most of the city life takes place on the streets which are lined with shops, stalls, and vendors, their wares spread out on the footpath, selling everything from soup to sophisticated electronics! French influence is evident in the excellent baguettes and coffee.

Taking one of our Ho Chi Minh tours shows you a different side to the city than what you'll find on most package tours. Discover the real Ho Chi Minh with Ho Chi Minh City Urban Adventures.

Our tour guide Than was very friendly and knowledgeable . My husband enjoyed the experience of being able to fire an AK-47. I did feel as though we were rushed through the whole experience. We were the only people on this tour, perhaps if we had other people with us things may have progressed at a slower pace.

Once again our guide, Linda, was truly a professional and very knowledgeable guide. Linda is a very caring person and truly deserves a nice raise. Would highly recommend LINDA for this tour & Mekong Experience tour as well.

This was my second visit to the Cu Chi Tunnels and my wife's first visit - we both really loved this trip, Truong was our guide and he really had lots of knowledge to share with the group. Visiting a local farming family was an eye opening experience. Make sure that you take plenty of water with you, as you will have a busy time. Would highly recommend this trip.

We had a great time. During our holiday we joined several tour companies and I can say Urban adventure was one of the best groups we went on. The tour had a little too much of shopping at local community points. but I guess this makes the economy move round. Our guide Linda, was excellent. She went out of her way to make sure everybody was getting a great day out.

We went on a Mekong Delta tour on December 30, and Linda was our guide. She kept us informed throughout the tour about everything we were seeing, interspersed with interesting factoids about the economy and history of the region. We were a small-ish group - just nine of us - and we spent about an hour getting to a rest stop where I drank some very strong and delicious Vietnamese coffee. We also visited a bee farm, which really freaked out our oldest son, a coconut candy business, and went on a boat on the Mekong Delta. We had a yummy lunch that I as the only non-Asian in my family seemed to like. Then we went on a sampan which was the highlight of the trip for us, as it was so tranquil. Linda was an awesome guide and we will definitely look for her again on another Urban Adventures tour.

This was our best tour during the stay in Saigon. An extremely well planned and interesting tour with lots of local impressions and sights. Even the local food for lunch was great. The best part was that it did not feel very touristy. A must try day tour!
